This painting was inspired by our annual fishing trip to Glinz Lake this past September. The late summer sun slanting down on the surrounding forest, along with the hints of fall in the thick clouds over the distant hills and the changing color of a solitary bush along the lake edge inspired me to try and capture this tranquil moment.
Oil painting on a 9" by 12" canvas board. No longer Available
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you enjoyed this James! I tried to impart the special feeling of that moment.
ReplyDeleteMagical place, again looks so real.
ReplyDeleteBabs :)
And it takes me back to beautiful memories in NZ, where we spent a lot of time close to nature, places like this one... my favourite painting Len.

That's not far from our home...a place away from noise and distractions!
